Analysis Paralysis is when we procrastinate on making a decision because we have “too many options” and want to make the “right decision”.
I believe this will be a great challenge in our age of infinite possibilities.
It feels like we are sort of waking up to our innate capacity as human beings to become whatever we choose. I see the idea of self-determination more and more.
With research in peak performance & human potential, we are waking up to our true nature. But we are at the same time waking up to our tendencies to let these gifts go to waste.
Truly, I believe many of us, at least at some point in our life, felt like we’re standing in a valley looking up at all the mountains to climb, the peaks to pursue… But how to choose…?
This phenomena of Analysis Paralysis, Information Overload or The Paradox of Choice, in many cases prevents us from making a decision, which makes us stagnant and complacent.
Instead of making a good decision soon, we try to make a perfect decision… which might never happen…
Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of good enough…
